Yes Bank partnered with Indus OS to launch UPI-Platform based Android Operating System
Indus OS which is widely regarded as the Indian based android software rated above the iOS & Windows operating systems but it is somewhat lagging behind the Android OS. Now India’s fourth largest private bank sector YES Bank announced that they are going to make a partnership with the Indus OS company to launch India’s first integrated UPI payment platform.
The all new YES bank integrated UPI payment platform is going to be India’s first feature through which users can access UPI payments with the OS-integrated framework, so there is no need of downloading and operating external applications from Playstore/iOS store.
On the partnership, Rakesh Deshmukh, co-Founder, and CEO of Indus OS said, “This year, one of our focus areas is to empower the ecosystem with OS-integrated innovations that allow for mass applicability of initiatives launched under the ‘Digital India’ program.”
Co-founder of Indus OS, Rakesh further added that “Last month, leading UPI transactions were registered since its launch. Our main aim is to help our current and future user base, who praise from across diverse parts of the country, and from different socio-economic backgrounds, conveniently access the UPI payment platform. We hope this will help improve the transaction amounts further.”
Talking about the latest UPI payments technology, YES bank is on the top list to take the lead in offering digital UPI payments and maintaining best relationship with both merchants and customers. By referring the most recent news which was published Indian government officials that the YES Bank is the only one which is performing 35% UPI transactions throughout the country and it also tops in merchant transactions with 80% on the UPI ecosystem.
Our partnership with YES BANK, who have already created a success with its existing UPI framework, aims to drive up the existing growth rate of UPI-based transactions further. The OS-integrated UPI payment platform built by us allows for more deep and contextual integration with the smartphone experience. With Indus OS’ technological know-how and YES BANK’s expertise in banking, the output will surely be a success and set high benchmarks in the digital banking space. This will be a major step towards our mission to facilitate Govt. to citizen services for a billion Indians.”
YES Bank UPI development team claimed that the, over 10000 online/offline merchants are making digital transactions powered by the UPI payments and they have also added that over 20million merchant partnered app downloads are recorded, over 5millionVirtual payment addresses powered by YES Bank services.
Here are some examples of Indus OS-integrated UPI transactions
In the latest Indus OS interface, a user can initiate their UPI transactions by accessing? Symbol provided on the keyboard. The user also has the option to transfer money via messaging/chatting apps, and the amount will be automatically transferred to receiver registered phone number’s bank account.
The above feature will also work on third-party messaging services such as Whatsapp and Messenger, all you have to do is select ?symbol on the keyboard, choose receiver registered mobile number and the amount.
Indus OS will also come with Artificial Intelligent AI technology which automatically sense’s user intention while making payments and it will suggest user to make UPI payments via messaging applications.
Indus OS user will also get company made Indus contacts app through which user can add or manage their contacts in the given menu, and they can transfer money to the selected contacts from the Indus contacts menu. However we know that Indus OS was the first one to provide Aadhaar authenticated OS for the first time in India, so now they have offering faster UPI payments system by joining with popular YES bank services.
