Latest Whatsapp scam- Hackers

There is new Whatsapp scam which has been rolling out on both Android and iOS user, in which scammers are asking users to pay a fake subscription fee to continue their service. However, we have already gone through fake Whatsapp messages and forward message virus in previous days, but Whatsapp has been updating and solving the issues in the most recent versions.

In starting days, Whatsapp was also planned to charge a little amount to continue their services to the users, but we know that Facebook bought the Whatsapp messaging services and offered a life time free service to users. Even on the official download page, they clearly mentioned that Whatsapp messaging services would be provided free of charge for a life time.

Those who unaware about the Whatsapp free life time services regulations are most effected on the scammer’s traps. Scammers sending spam messages which contain “Your subscription has expired, Please renew it” followed by an external link which takes you to payment area where you have to pay some amount to extend your Whatsapp services.

Spammers are also sending messages like ” To verify your account and purchase a lifetime subscription for just 0.99 GDP simple tap on this link”, whenever if you come across these type of messages, please don’t open the links which are given in messages it may compromise your privacy data.

Just like same spamming messages, scammers are also sending forward messages like “If you want to continue Whatsapp free messaging services to one year or life time, please go through this link and forward this message to 10 more members to avail the Whatsapp service for free”. We have already come across these type of forwarding messages, but whenever we open that link, it will automatically download non-secured virus scripts in your mobile and compromises your personal privacy data.

Whatsapp security team responded to fake scam messages, “whenever you receive such type of Whatsapp service extension messages from users don’t make any payments through it and report it Whatsapp security systems through email.

If you’ve received more number of spamming messages from particular person or group, please try to block that person if he/she is your friend because your privacy data might be get hacked if you open unsecured messages. To block a particular person, go to settings>account>privacy>Block contacts and add that contact to your blocked list.

In case if you’re accidentally clicked on the spam link, you should protect your privacy data by running a secured antivirus software on your mobile as soon as possible. So you should install a secured antivirus application on your mobile to prevent these type of spamming traps.
