Snapchat’s new SnapMap feature is now rolling out worldwide
On Wednesday, Snapchat launched a new feature to its app called SnapMap through which users can locate their friends on a map, and you can also see what they’re up to with the new stories attachment features.
The new latest feature from Snapchat will make easy for finding your nearby friends and with the new stories attachment feature you can also watch what your friends are doing at that pinged location.
The SnapMap functionality has been rolling on Snapchat app less than 24 hours, and if you want to avail the new features from Snapchat you should soon update your app to the most recent software version, and this feature will be available for both Android & iOS users.
Those who’ve successfully updated to the most recent software version, they can access the new SnapMap feature by pinching the main app interface, and they also have Zoom In/Out option to watch what’s happening with the people you’re following.
The all new SnapMap functionality only shows your location and your stories statues if you’ve agreed to share co-ordinates with your friends and the people you’re following. However, a user can also access SnapMap functionality without his/her location & story status by activating the incognito mode.
Friends who are agreed to share their location and status updates will be represented as action emoji on the map which makes it easy to find your friends on SnapMap, and you can check what they’re doing by their status updates.
In case even if you decided to share your location with selected friends or group of friends, but they only able to see your location and activity if you’re live on the Snapchat app so if you’re offline or not using the Snapchat app it doesn’t share your activity and location to your friend’s list.
Snapchat has been introducing more advanced features to its online services from past few months which makes it simple for users to access the Snapchat features effortlessly. Recently Snapchat claimed that Facebook Messenger is copied status stories update in which user can update their status with photos, videos, and GIF.
However, this features has already there in the Snapchat app for a while. One of the Snapchat spokesperson claimed that the company is putting great efforts to add a more advanced feature in the app which will be expected to be launched in coming months.
